![]() * No support for hardware "Start" button such as on the Epson v850 * Find frames is unreliable (VS is much more reliable and Epson Scan is nearly perfect) - Folks at SF support indicated they were working on it This way I never need to worry that I'll need to go back and re-scan (Just re-process from the DNG files) - Thought it would be nice if the DNG files were interoperable so I don't need to worry that my HDR Studio is not compatible with a new OS and thus my originals become inaccessible. I'm pretty sold on the workflow with SF Archive Suite - being able to scan with IR and full dynamic range and then apply processing from those in batch. I think that's where SF really shines - likely I could do similar stuff in Adobe (which of would cost me another $120 a year and more "youtube training". Now in my case I'm dealing with negatives from 198x/199x cheap cameras and negatives that have been sitting in a draw for 30 years so I'm starting from a relatively low quality. ![]() Its possible that I still have not mastered VS and thus have not done a fair comparison. I'm a novice so I'm not exactly sure my opinion counts But in my testing I have been able to produce what I feel are significantly better results in SF than VS. I was hoping to see more folks doing an in-depth comparison of the quality between SF and VS. Thanks again, alex! your help was instrumental in getting this done.Phew! that was quite a read. once mp3tag was done, i update my library from the tags in MC. waited for the script to work its way thru all 9000 of my files.Ħ. setup a custom action in mp3tag that would replace the value in the custom field with whatever was in comments ("field format" type of action).ĥ. Edited it to make it read/write for ALL my mp3s.Ĥ. edited the special field for playcounts "MEDIA CENTER CUSTOM: NUMBER PLAYED" or something along those lines. opened the test file in MC, played it, then opened the test file in mp3tag.ģ. use MediaMonkey customized script to copy my OLD playcounts to the comment field.Ģ. you can use Mp3tag's "Actions" (Convert > Actions). You should use the latest Mp3tag beta build from here. Update Tags (from library) or use Mp3tag. With other file formats you need to do: 1. This removes the Number Plays tag from the files. Also, you should do "Update Tags (from library)" after changing the field back. Otherwise MC would change your file tags after each play.Ĩ. Remember to change the library field back. Inside MC do: Update Library (from tags)ħ. Use Mp3tag's tools for mass copying the info to this tag.Ħ. After this Mp3tag can write this tag correctly to other mp3 files.ĥ. Change the tag value once and save the change (in Mp3tag). The extented tag info window in Mp3tag will show the "Number Plays" tag as "COMMENT MEDIA JUKEBOX: NUMBER PLAYS". Configure Mp3tag to write ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1 format tags.Ĥ. Play a test file with MC so that the play count info gets written to the file tags.ģ. Change MC's "Number Plays" library field so that it writes to the file tags.Ģ. I have not tested if it can write the "Number Plays" field, but I suppose so.Īnother option would be to use Mp3tag for copying the field info:ġ. You could try KingSparta's "Replace Master" plugin: I tried using Move/Copy Field but Play Count isn't a value that I can copy to, apparently. I just need to know how I get it copied there. ![]() i can copy the play count data to ANY of the existing ID3 tags read by MC. ![]() its in the file tag, which it wasn't while i was using MediaMonkey previously. I was able to get as far as copying the play count data into the comment field. i'm just about at the end of my delima, i think :? i'm trying to get my playcounts into MC from my last application. More > Media Center 11 (Development Ended) Copy existing tag data to "number played" value ![]()
